RÖMER®

The X-ray test roll designed by Dr. Middelmann

Until recently, in order to measure bone structures for an orthopantomograph (a panoramic radiograph of the upper and lower jaw; Abbr. OPG) x-ray templates were placed in the upper and jaw,. These templates contain measurement elements in a defined size with which the two-dimensional size of the bone could be calculated using three-dimensional computation. Much time was needed not only to make the OPG template, but to also take an impression of the jaw (an uncomfortable procedure) in order for a model to be created.

From this model the measuring template was then created in the laboratory, which added additional time to the entire procedure, and involved a second appointment, additional work and, ultimately, higher lab costs to make the brace.

RÖMER®

fast, Easy and Economical !

The RöMeR © eliminates these time consuming and uncomfortable aspects with the following advantages:

1) The measuring roller is always ready-for-use so that a trained dental assistant can apply it at a moment’s notice.
2) The RöMeR © is uncomplicated and easy to handle.
3) The patient does not have the unpleasant and uncomfortable feeling of having the plastic template in the mouth, instead, only needs to bite down on a sponge-like roll ,similar to a dental cotton wad.
4) The cost of the laboratory-made template, necessary for the imprint and the model manufacture, is eliminated.
5) The OPG can be prepared immediately and then evaluated by your doctor. The simplicity of the application and the minimal cost of the RöMeR allows such a measurement reference with every OPG. Through this method, there is security in being able to always have comparative variables at hand.
